Irene's Family Restaurant

This was hands down the single most delicious pasta I've ever tasted. A good carbonara is unmatched and this was the best I've ever had. Choosing penne pasta instead of fettuccine was a game changer (our waitress's recommendation)!! The garlic bread was perfect for soaking up the extra sauce. My husband got the Chicken Parm and cleaned his plate. Very very happy pregnant woman right here!

Our first time ordering delivery from here and they did not disappoint! I had NY Style pizza (well done) and my husband had a chicken parm grinder (no photo, he ate it too fast) Super fast delivery and delicious HOT food. The phone lady was very easy to order with and we had really friendly young male delivery driver who arrived way before the estimated delivery time. Would give more stars if I could.

My fiance and I have lived in the Norwich area for about 6 months now and we love trying new restaurants together. Irene’s is AMAZING!! I ordered a toasted Italian grinder and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best grinders ive had in a long time! And he got a chicken tender meal with garlic bread and fries (yes I tried some) they did a wonderful job and quick delivery! Definitely worth a try!! UPDATE**** Irene’s is FABULOUS! It’s still our favorite restaurant in this area! Tonight hubby ordered the fried shrimp, and I got the turkey club absolutely wonderful job! Thank you so much for your wonderful service!!

I'm a bit of a Chicken Parm grinder snob and let me tell ya, this one is solid. I'm not up here too often but I love visiting small italian restaurants and tasting the difference. Usually there's 1 part of the grinder that just isnt right, but this is gourmet all the way through. I'll be back!

Wife got chicken parm and I got baked ziti. Both got a big side salad with our meals and ordered some garlic bread, it was all fantastic. Attentive waitress and friendly. Will definitely be back !

Seriously, some of the BEST pizza in the area. The crust is crispy but soft inside and has that perfect buttery flavor. Their white pizzas I load mine up with chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, roasted peppers and spinach and somehow it doesn’t get soggy. The staff is always really friendly and patient, I always recommend Irene’s when someone asks what’s good around Norwich.

Was looking for something to eat on the way home from Foxwoods. Irene’s came up and is 2 minutes from Rt 2. Small place but tons of options- had sausage grinder with cheese and roasted peppers. The bread was so fresh and delicious, and the grinder had tons of mozzarella! They also had a bunch of different lunch, specials, soups, and a ton of different dessert options. The staff was great and very attentive! Prices were totally reasonable. This is a great find!

We stopped at Irene's after a dental appt. It is small but mighty. We had the Reuben wrap (delish) and the fish and chips, also very good. We took home enough leftovers for a lunch the next day for one of us. Great service, fair prices. Above the average diner experience.
